Assistant Coach Akarsh

Akarsh grew up in India and began playing tennis at the age of 7, initially to fit in with neighborhood friends. He went on to compete in AITA and local tournaments until 2020, when the pandemic and a family move shifted his focus temporarily to basketball. After relocating to the U.S. two years ago, Akarsh rediscovered his passion for tennis, reaching a 6.3 UTR and earning a spot on the varsity team at Frisco High School, where he is now a senior.

In addition to his tennis experience, Akarsh has a background in private coaching. He has provided one-on-one tennis instruction at Open High School tennis courts and also ran a private piano tutoring business for two summers, teaching over 11 students from his home.

Akarsh specializes in working with children and beginner tennis players. He brings energy, patience, and a deep love for the game to every session. One of his favorite tennis memories is a three-hour match against his team captain—an intense but laughter-filled rally battle that reminded him how fun and meaningful the sport can be.
