She later earned a four-year Division I tennis scholarship to Grambling State University, where she served as team captain for two years and was recognized as the team’s Most Valuable Player (MVP).

During her time at Grambling State, Claire also gained valuable coaching experience as an assistant coach, helping lead the team during a period when it was without a head coach.
