Coach Maverick

Coach Maverick has been coaching at the Denton Tennis and Pickleball Center in Denton, Texas, for the past 27 months. Originally from Kansas, he moved to Texas during elementary school and began playing tennis in 7th grade. From that moment on, his passion for the sport continued to grow through both playing and watching the game.

He has primarily coached beginner and intermediate middle school students as well as adult players, focusing on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and a love for tennis. While he is not currently certified, his hands-on experience and enthusiasm for teaching make him a dedicated and supportive coach for players of all ages.

A fun fact about Coach Maverick is that his favorite shot is his serve, the same shot he enjoys practicing the most. One of his favorite tennis memories is traveling with his team to San Antonio for a tournament, which marked his first time competing outside of his home city.
