Coach Nicklas

Coach Nicklas is a dedicated tennis enthusiast with a fervor for instilling the love of the game, particularly among middle and high school players. His tennis journey commenced at the age of 10 in his hometown of Plano, Texas, inspired by his family's rich tennis legacy—both parents and his sister excelling in college tennis, shaping his early experiences with the sport. 

During college breaks, Nicklas discovered joy in coaching younger kids at Lakes Tennis Academy's summer camps. Post-college, he ventured into a year as a freelance coach, guiding high school players who eventually pursued college tennis. Transitioning to competitive play, Nicklas joined the University of Portland's Division 1 tennis team, refining his skills and passion for the game. 

Specializing in working with novice and intermediate middle and high school players, Nicklas aims to impart not only skills but also a lifelong love for tennis. One unforgettable college memory involves a doubles match where his partner accidentally hit himself in the eye while attempting to return a serve! Despite a swollen eye, they powered through, creating a lasting memory and a humorous photo to cherish. Join him on the court for an engaging and enjoyable tennis experience!
